Celebrating Children’s Day with our neighbors in Ecuador

As part of our ongoing work to promote good neighborliness and strengthen the relationship of trust with our communities, this month we celebrated Children’s Day in our Espejo Block in Ecuador’s Sucumbios province. More than 700 children from six neighboring communities took part in a day of happiness, games and moments to remember.

Giving our youngest neighbors a special day and while continuing to create strong ties with our communities, the games and activities allowed children to have fun and learn in a safe and friendly environment. From interactive games to creative workshops, each activity was designed to entertain and promote cooperation and respect.

“Events like this not only bring happiness to children and their families, but also strengthen our neighbors’ sense of community. More than 700 children taking part shows the positive impact that these integration activities have on communities, increasing levels of trust and familiarity with GeoPark and among the communities themselves,” our Ecuador Nature and Neighbors Manager Maria Gabriela Moreta said.

We will continue to build good neighborliness through a close and respectful relationship with all our neighboring communities. Celebrating Children’s Day is just one of the activities we carry out to strengthen these connections and ensure that everyone benefits from development and shared prosperity.

As we progress, we will always continue to develop and take part in activities that promote the integration and well-being of our neighboring communities.
