Following a rigorous auditing process, GeoPark has obtained the renewal of the certification of its Environmental Management System (EMS) for all its operations in Colombia in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The certification is valid through August 2023.
The EMS certification by the ISO 14001 international standard shapes GeoPark’s environmental management, and allows the company to demonstrate its commitment to caring for the environment through the responsible management of the environmental risks associated with oil exploration and production activities in Colombia.
GeoPark has certified its environmental management according to the requirements of this standard since 2017, measuring its performance in areas such as the saving and efficient use of water, energy efficiency, proper waste management and disposal, and conducting training on environmental matters.
The ISO certification encourages the Company to continue promoting the application of the best operating standards to mitigate the impact of its activity on the natural environment and to continue working together with its employees, contractors and neighbors to promote the protection of natural resources and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
