Renowned international certification and inspection entity Bureau Veritas has granted its Safeguard certification to 9 GeoPark contractors that provide different types of services in the Llanos 34 block in Casanare department. The companies that obtained the certification were Top Drilling, Sur Energy, Seguridad del Pentagono, SAR Energy, OMIA, M&M Montajes y Mantenimiento Electricos, Falck Services, CIAM and Atina Energy. This certification recognizes compliance with good practices, biosafety standards and the implementation of protocols aimed at preventing Covid-19 by contractors in the fulfilment of their work.
Bureau Veritas carried out rigorous evaluations of guidelines and the implementation of protocols designed to prevent, mitigate, control and adequately manage the risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. GeoPark accompanied each contractor in this process, strengthening its commitment to the health and well-being of its workers, contractors and neighboring communities.
The Bureau Veritas methodology for this certification includes conducting interviews in operations and with office staff, the review and verification of documentation, visits to operations, and
compliance with training in biosafety protocols and current sector regulations.
