Bogota – December 29, 2020

GeoPark, a leading independent Latin American company in the exploration, operation and consolidation of oil and gas with growth platforms in six countries in the region, was chosen to be a member of the Energía que Transforma Consultative Committee, created by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia to advance the implementation of the sector’s gender equality strategy.

The Advisory Committee is made up of consulting firms Insuco and Corewoman, and 15 companies from the electricity, mining and hydrocarbons sectors that were selected by the Mines and Energy Ministry. Starting in 2021, the Committee will be responsible for identifying opportunities to build gender equality guidelines that will apply to Colombia’s entire extractive sector.

GeoPark General Director Marcela Vaca will sit on the Committee on behalf of the Company. “We are pleased to be part of this great public-private partnership that has the mission of ensuring
that as a sector we advance in closing gender gaps. GeoPark accepts this challenge with great responsibility, since we are convinced of its importance to promote a more inclusive and equitable
society,” she said.

Within the framework of this initiative, GeoPark hopes to contribute significantly to the construction of the gender strategy of the mining and energy sector by applying its experience in promoting and ensuring an inclusive work environment.
