Casanare, Colombia. April 21, 2022 – GeoPark has made the first donations of agricultural supplies and tools under a production and sustainable communities project we are developing with the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) to promote the productive development of the Puerto Miriam and Buenos Aires Bajo villages in Villanueva municipality, Casanare.
The materials GeoPark provided in late March benefited about 50 families in their agricultural projects. Corn seeds, fertilizers and equipment will allow these farmers to increase production and foster the economic development of the region.
In the next few months we will hold training days to teach Program beneficiaries about good agricultural practices to strengthen community production chains in the area.
We will continue to share updates on the development of this project, through which GeoPark reaffirms its commitment to the productive development of the neighboring territories of our operations in the Llanos.
