We report the occurrence of an incident this morning on the Tigana Sur platform in the Llanos 34 Block. There was no impact on people or bodies of water, and there was no damage to facilities in the block.
An accidental leakage of production fluid at a flare for no longer than four minutes caused a more intense flame than usual and fluids to spray out. We immediately activated the contingency and evacuation protocol to guarantee the safety of people, the environment and the facilities. Once the situation was controlled and the area secured, personnel returned to the field.
We are presently notifying relevant authorities through official channels and coordinating the next steps in the verification process, which is normal procedure for this type of incident.
The causes of the incident are being investigated while we continue to inspect the area. We will communicate all key information to the community and authorities.
