Puerto Asis, Putumayo, July 9 2021 – To contribute to the Colombian government’s national vaccination plan and protect the health of the people of Puerto Asis, La nueva Amerisur supported the implementation of a pilot vaccination plan by the local Mayor’s Office that aims to administer 8,000 vaccines in five days.
The pilot included a vaccination center in the Platanillo block, in which 125 community representatives and workers received the Janssen Covid-19 vaccine. La nueva Amerisur provided the necessary logistics and infrastructure for the people that came for their vaccinations.
“We are very happy to have contributed to this event that benefited our contractors’ workers and our neighbors,” La nueva Amerisur Health & Safety manager Carlos Gomez said. “Participating in these events is another step in our commitment to safeguard the health of the people of Puerto Asis.”
La nueva Amerisur will continue supporting vaccination drives, contributing to the rapid increase in the immunization rates of the municipality’s inhabitants.
