Bogota, Colombia, October 21, 2021 – As part of our partnership with the National Batuta Foundation to promote music skills in children and young adults in Puerto Asis, the Foundation’s Chamber of Talent Orchestra held a concert called ‘Music of Diversity’ in Bogota.
Dozens of people attended the event on Sunday, October 17 at the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theater, and heard the 22 young people of Puerto Assis who make up the municipality’s Batuta Chamber of Talent. The talented young musicians delighted the audience with seven pieces of music over almost an hour.
Through the partnership GeoPark benefits 80 children through symphonic string music teaching, and promotes the Talentos Batuta program allow low-income for young people connected to the System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras to access higher education in music.
