The strategic partnership in the Emprender & Crecer project between the Putumayo Chamber of Commerce and Amerisur has been central to transforming lives and strengthening production in our communities. Working together has enabled the completion of two phases of the project, which show encouraging results in training, business support and sustainable development.
In the first phase, 113 participants were trained, 61 businesses received seed capital, and 50 organizations took part in the Business Showcase component to highlight their talent and products. Thirty businesses were trained and strengthened In the Digital Transformation component, and 17 local companies participated in the Productivity Factories component.
The second phase has continued the positive impact, training another 199 people. In this stage, 40 businesses have received seed capital and 20 organizations will have the chance to highlight their work in the Business Showcase component. Working with the Zasca program, 15 businesses are expected to strengthen their technological capacities in the digital transformation component, and 10 further companies are expected to take part in the Productivity Factories component.
The progress made reflects a strong commitment to economic growth, human development and business empowerment in the region. The Emprender & Crecer project shows how opportunities to transform communities are multiplied when visions of collective progress drive strategic partnerships.
Supporting these producers, entrepreneurs and businesses has been an enriching experience that allows us to discover and highlight all the diversity and potential in our region. The project delivers positive impact through the support provided in different components and highlights the resilience of communities that are committed to viable alternatives that include peace, innovation and environmental protection. These communities have been empowered and have backed themselves and their transformative capacity, thanks to producers who every day contribute to the development of our region through their production processes.
The impact of betting on local talent and developing Putumayo’s economy is that communities are reborn with hope and build a bottom-up sustainable future that becomes the true engine of transformation for our region.
