To promote the well-being of our neighboring communities, we have provided a playground in the village of Pinalito Alto, in Tauramena, Casanare department. The playground has been open to the community since October 26, and gives the 200+ inhabitants of Pinalito Alto a renovated multifunctional space to share for free time activities.

The playground provides a safe space for children to enjoy recreational, sports, cultural and leisure activities. We also contributed to the maintenance of the community meeting room, which facilitates social cohesion and encourages a sense of community belonging.

This project, managed in coordination with the Community Action Board (JAC) and part of our social investment initiatives, was agreed with the community during the diagnosis and participatory planning process of the Communities Benefit Program for the Llanos 94 block.

At the opening event, Pinalito Alto JAC president Timoleon Cardenas invited the whole village to look after the new space. “Thank you to those who accompanied us in building this project for children to enjoy. We are all responsible for its care,” he said.

“We firmly believe that these projects help create prosperity for our neighbors, and also show the power of working together with communities to develop initiatives that are opportunities for progress,” said Sergio Eugenio, from our Neighbor Relations team. “We invite people to continue working together on this shared purpose.”

Our activity in Pinalito Alto underscore our commitment to continue working on projects that represent collective benefits for our neighboring communities through helping create opportunities for progress and well-being in the territories where we operate.
