As a company that respects human rights, we strongly reject any threat, intimidation, or act of violence against community leaders in the areas of influence of our operation. Accordingly, we categorically condemn the recent incitements against members of the community, which were allegedly carried out by illegal groups.
We are formally requesting appropriate authorities to investigate these threats against community members, and to take measures that guarantee community leaders’ integrity and safety.
We urge the community to channel their concerns and needs through established dialogue mechanisms, avoiding any kind of stigmatization or action that could put people’s safety at risk.
